You would need a birth certificate or passport, your social security card (there is a waiver form if you do not have a social security number), a vision test (done in our office at no cost).

What do I need to take my NJ road test?

You need your permit, birth certificate or passport – and a NJMVC qualified vehicle, with center console emergency brake, no tinted windows, and current registration insurance and inspection.

What is the best package for an Adult Driver?

Adult Drivers who have no experience should take the 6 hours of behind the wheel to obtain a firm grasp of the basics. Adult Drivers who are not sure what they need should purchase one 2 hour lesson and it can be used as an assessment to make an educated recommendation, and the cost of that lesson can be deducted from whatever package they choose to purchase!

What is the 50 Hour rule in the State of NJ?

“A probationary driver’s license shall not be issued to the holder of an examination permit under the age of 21 unless the permit holder completes a minimum of 50 hours of practice driving, 10 hours of which shall be completed during hours of darkness. the permit holder’s parent or guardian, or the person who accompanied and supervised the permit holder during the practice driving shall certify, in a form and manner determined by the chief administrator, that the permit holder has completed the required number of hours of practice driving, including the required number of hours during hours of darkness. The chief administrator shall suspend for six months the driving privileges of any examination permit holder who submits a fraudulent certification of a parent, guardian, or supervising driver.”

Is it hard to schedule a road test in NJ?

Will I drive on the highway during my driving lessons?

At All Jersey Driving School we understand that students (and parents) can find the highway challenging and we work with all students to help them navigate the busier roadways confidently!

Is Driving School expensive in NJ?

It depends who you call. All Jersey Driving School does not charge credit card fees to our families – we offer convenient payment plans…. We understand and support all families!

Does All Jersey Driving School offer a military discount?

In NJ, can I drive with my student while they are taking lessons?

In New Jersey the student must have completed their 6 hours of instruction and received their validated permit before behind able to drive with friends and family

What is the penalty if I get caught driving without my permit or license?

In NJ, driving without a legal permit or license is a 6 month suspension of your ability to get your drivers license, in addition to a 3 year NJ surcharge and any relevant municipal fines.

What are the 6 points of ID in NJ for a student?

The 6 points of ID needed in NJ for a student are: Original birth certificate or passport, social security card and proof of address (School Transcript or report card with school ID, bank statement, paystub, medical bill or Parent Form).

Can I get real ID in NJ when I pass my road test?

In NJ currently, students who take and pass their road test can request Real ID – and the NJMVC location will try to accommodate. What type of vehicle will I use for my NJ driving lessons?

At All Jersey Driving School we use Ford Escapes (small SUV shaped vehicles) for lessons – with dual controls for safety.

Can you take driving lessons in NJ at 15?

No, you must be 16 to take driving lessons in New Jersey. You can however take your written exam prior to your 16th birthday and complete the paperwork with a Driving School so that you can begin driving right after your birthday!

What happens if lose my NJ permit?

If you lose your NJ permit – you would need to make an online appointment with njmvc.gov to obtain a new permit.

How long are my driving lessons in NJ?

NJ MVC allows licensed driving schools to provide 2 hour or 3 hour driving lessons. At All Jersey Driving School we provide 2 hour driving sessions.

Can a driving school help with the permit process in NJ?

If the new driver is 16 or 17 years old.

Can I bring my cell phone on my NJ driving lesson?

You can bring your cell phone on your lesson, however you will need to have it to the side – and will not be allowed to answer while driving, nor wear earbuds.

How flexible are the driving lesson schedules in NJ?

All Jersey Driving School drives 7 days a week from 7am to 8:30PM. Schedules are created personally for each Driver by asking them about what works for their existing schedules: school, work, sports, family commitments, etc.

Can I drive on a foreign or International Drivers License in NJ?

In NJ you cannot legally drive on a license from another Country. You would either need to obtain your international driving papers (good for 1 year) or your NJ Drivers Permit to take driving instruction.

Is the written exam hard in NJ?

In New Jersey the written exam is a random grouping of 50/2000 questions approved and provided by NJMVC online. At 16 and 17 the written exam can be taken either in school (if offered) or at a NJ licensed driving school.
